The biggest realisation in the post-Covid workplace? Massive office space and corner office culture is a thing of the past. The age of agile working is here, and it has great appeal for the workforce and employers alike. This new paradigm of employee choice is empowering to individuals and teams; it has multiple benefits for business productivity, talent attraction and retention and the bottom line. It also has implications for property and space. Employers are realising that, after the initial outlay on smart design and technology, office space overheads can be cut to a fraction of what they were. At the same time, employees are questioning what advantages going back into the office really offers.

We wrapped up our 10th anniversary year in Nigeria in 2021 with the completion of a new 9-storey commercial office building on Gerrard Road in Ikoyi, Lagos. This is the third landmark office building to be completed by Profica in Lagos since the start of the pandemic.
Piling has been completed for the new Novotel Victoria Island Lagos, and we now have approval to appoint the main contractor. The hotel looks set to shake up the hospitality scene in the Victoria Island district of Nigeria’s largest city, one of Africa’s biggest commercial and financial hubs, standing out as a stylish space for guests and local residents to meet, relax, dine and socialise.
The hotel’s 168 rooms and suites will be complemented by an all-day dining restaurant, a lobby bar, a pool bar, a swimming pool, a gym and 400 sqm of banqueting and meeting spaces. It is also being developed as a green building to meet the International Finance Corporation’s EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) certification.
Work is going well with the flagship new headquarters for Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Limited in Nigeria as we project manage the development and build of a state of the art home in Victoria Island, Lagos for this dynamic financial brand.
