Perceptive understanding of market requirements results in exciting new win

Huawei, Chinese multinational and competitive global leader in the networking and telecoms space, has appointed Profica to fit out over 18 buildings of new office space at the Harrowdene Office Park, Sandton.

Profica is providing Huawei with programme and project management, led by Mandarin-speaking project manager, I-Ling Chiu. This exciting new appointment by Huawei pays testament to Profica’s careful market positioning which is a result of the company’s continued anticipation of market movements.

I-Ling Chiu, who recently joined Profica, has been working in the property and construction industry for a number of years. She has strong demonstrable experience in project management and property development, as well as within the architectural fields. Through I-Ling’s fluency in Mandarin, she is able to work closely with the international members of the Huawei project team.

I-Ling has been involved in feasibility and research studies across diverse developments. This, combined with her architectural background, has provided I-Ling with an excellent understanding of the technical aspects of the construction process. This means that she is able to quickly and accurately identify solves to onsite problems that may arise during a build process.

Led by I-Ling on the PM side, Riaan Pretorius on health & safety management, and with over site by Profica ‘veteran’ Aaron Bigmore, Profica’s team is committed to providing an excellent first-time service to the Huawei team while at the same time forging a strong partnership.
