Profica’s golden touch

Leading construction and property solutions company Profica is celebrating its fifteenth anniversary this year, and now has another reason to celebrate as the company receives another PMR.africa Golden Arrow award this year. CEO Tim White says, “We’re proud to have shown great consistency in being rated in the top 3 Project Management Companies in the Built Environment in South Africa for the past 10 years, with 6 Diamond Arrow Awards for first place included in our track record. I’m grateful to our clients and partners for endorsing the high levels of excellent we strive to maintain, and congratulate every team member across all regions for keeping Profica’s reputation and service at a high level.”

Property investment and development both in South Africa and on the African continent is facing enormous challenges this year as countries and economies deal with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. White says that more than ever, this environment requires an adaptable approach combined with an ability to diversify service offerings to meet client needs.

“The way we work, shop and live is changing across Africa and the impact will play out in property development, requiring flexibility to find the opportunities,” says White. “We can expect to see some existing property trends potentially accelerated by the pandemic, including modular, flexible and downscaled workplaces; a focus on e-commerce and fulfilment; an increased need for world-class data centres, more local manufacturing rather than imports; and urban densification where people want to limit travel and be close to office spaces.”

White says another element of success going forward is being able to streamline and integrate a full end-to-end managed service for clients, from idea generation to groundbreaking to hand-over, turning our client’s visions into reality using the best talent.

White concludes by saying that this recognition by industry clients and peers validates the emphasis Profica has always placed on values and culture within the organisation. “We are humbled and grateful to be recognised by our peers and clients for the work that we do. Our hope is that we are not only supporting our clients, but also contributing to the network of construction project managers in South Africa and on the continent who are inspired to navigate the current challenges and continue providing a world-class service offering.”
