Congratulations to international direct-selling beauty company Avon, on the official opening of their new South African headquarters in Woodmead. Profica led the team and undertook the project management over the planning, design and the six-month build, part of which necessitated working through the traditional builders’ shut-down period in December to fast track the opening.
Profica Project Manager, Craig Palm says the build, which kicked off in August last year and was completed this month, hit an unavoidable timing snag. “The client’s move date from their previous premises was unexpectedly shifted forward a month due to leasing issues beyond their control. This meant that all work had to be carried out over the traditional builders’ shutdown in December, which could have had a potentially disastrous impact on the build, subsequently affecting the client’s operations. However, our teams took this in their stride, and thanks to everyone’s commitment and skill, the build progressed smoothly. In fact, we actually delivered the offices ahead of time.”
The end result is a bright, clean space in keeping with Avon’s corporate identity and the look and feel of their offices around the world. Palm adds that the finished space completely meets the client’s requirements. “The Avon team are highly satisfied that their expectations have been met in an excellent turnaround time.”
Profica would like to say a big thank you to the client and the entire consultant team and contractor for a job well done.
