International experience a key criterion for Novotel hotel development in Lagos, Nigeria
Profica’s extensive international and regional experience in construction project management, as well as their office opened in Lagos almost 9 years ago, has been a critical element in its appointment to project manage the Lagos development of the Accor Group’s luxury brand hotel, Novotel.
The Four-star hotel will be situated in Victoria Island – an affluent and buzzing hub of Lagos – and will be developed as a green building to meet the International Finance Corporation’s EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) certification. With a planned 170 rooms and iconic design, it is anticipated that the Novotel development will be a highly attractive and competitive offering amongst similar developments both locally and internationally.
A key aspect of the project will be to maximise the site potential while successfully meeting local statutory requirements. The fact that Profica has been permanently resident with a fully staffed office in Nigeria for a number of years, combines with a team that has comprehensive knowledge and considerable understanding of the local regulatory and working environment, substantially reduces otherwise unknown or unanticipated risks. As such the team are looking forward to delivering a fantastic hotel to join the Accor Group portfolio.
